We want to promote systemic change across companies, our social systems and governments.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEstablished as a social enterprise in 2011 by \u003cstrong\u003eDr Nancy Doyle\u003c\/strong\u003e, our mission is to help neurominorities unlock their talents. As a company actively championing the rights of neurominorities, it is only fitting that we are a \u003cstrong\u003eDisability Confident Leader\u003c\/strong\u003e. We are led by a board and senior management team that is 67% neurominorities, with all conditions represented. 68% of our employee team also identify as neurodivergent and\/or disabled. This means we can deliver balanced, co-produced services drawing on lived experience combined with our expertise as \u003cstrong\u003epsychologists\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eworkplace coaches\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eHR practitioners\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003chr\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"color: #693786;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat Does ‘Genius Within’ Mean?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe recognise that the term “genius” as related to academic intelligence has a problematic history. Additionally, the stereotype of the neurodivergent savant, seen in characters like “Rain Man,” is reductive and unpopular in our community. With this in mind, we understand that including “genius” in our name may seem a little contradictory, especially given the work we do, and the fact that we are a majority neurodivergent organisation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt Genius Within, we find it powerful to reclaim and reframe the word “genius”. We want to help shift its meaning away from traditional notions of intelligence and towards one that recognises a much broader range of human abilities.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"background-color: #f5f0fa; border-left: 4px solid #693786; padding: 12px 16px; border-radius: 4px;\"\u003eTo us your “genius” is \u003cstrong\u003ewhatever it is that motivates you, brings you joy, or showcases your talents.\u003c\/strong\u003e It is the thing that gives you a spark in your eye when you are doing it or talking about it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe love providing a balance to the deficits \/ medical model by helping people discover their own personal strengths and how to maximise them. All our psychologists, coaches and trainers are \u003cstrong\u003eILM Level 5 qualified\u003c\/strong\u003e and our associates receive specialist training with an ILM endorsed model on neurodiversity.
